Lion's Pride Kennels
Our Story
A Legacy of Quality Chesapeakes
Our "Kennels" are our home. Each litter is whelped in the family wash room by our kitchen, and kept warm by the wood stove. Lion's Pride puppies never see wire and don't know what concrete feels like!

After several weeks in our home, the puppies move to the stable where they spend nights in a large wood floored box stall. Here they are protected from weather and predators, still with access to their mother.
In the daytime they are outdoors on grass with access to the yard. They go for 2-3 "romps" a day, unleashed as a pack. We believe these walks are a critical part of the puppies' development, as they learn to answer to basic commands as a group and gain exposure to countless experiences such as creeks, scent trails and resident livestock friends on the farm.
